The Pines Resort is an oasis of tranquillity at the foot of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Carved by glaciers and surrounded by statuesque mountains, Lake Wanaka is stunningly beautiful. Stand on the patio of your chalet or view the vista from the main bedroom balcony and, it’s yours to behold. With two double bedrooms and a trundle bed upstairs. Plus a fold-out divan or Murphy bed in the main lounge there’s sleeping for up to 7 people. Each chalet has a bathroom with a spa, two toilets, a full kitchen, a microwave and dishwasher, laundry facilities, a TV, and VCR. Just outside your door, the options begin, with a hot spa and sauna, a covered heated swimming pool, as well as mini-golf, kids’ playground, barbeques, bikes, a games room, exercise gear, and half-court tennis.

The Lake

The city centre of Wanaka can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. There is also that “Wanaka Tree”, 15 minutes walk from the resort and 10 minutes stroll from downtown Wanaka.

The Chalets

The Pines offers two storey chalet style accommodation in two bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 people. Each chalet has a bathroom with bath and separate shower, two toilets, full kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, laundry facilities, TV and VCR.

The Location

The resort is located 15 minutes stroll from the art-house Ruby’s Cinema and 5 minutes from the town centre.

The Chalets

Just a short walk to the heart of Wanaka and all it has to offer, the Pines Resort has amenities onsite to accommodate guests’ needs and interests.

Two bedrooms

Featuring comfortable and spacious chalet style accommodation, each apartment at Pines Resort is fully self-contained. Features two bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 people.

Full kitchen

All chalets at The Pines Resort have full kitchen facilities complete with a ceramic hob oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, hot water jug, and toaster.

Upstairs bathroom

The upstairs-level main bathroom is shared between double and twin single bedrooms. There is a bath, shower, toilet, and vanity sink unit for your total refreshment and comfort. To save using the stairs there’s a ground-floor toilet & vanity beside the laundry, accessible from the kitchen area.

Downstairs lounge and dining

The open space lounge and dining area extends through to the kitchen, with a toilet, vanity, and laundry off through a side door, under the staircase. There’s room for a 6-seater dining table, soft furnishings, a TV/VCR console, and a fold-down Murphy or divan bed. It’s cozy and comfortable, warm, relaxing, and practical.

Kids Playground

The Children’s playground is a great place for the kids to burn off all that excess energy. There is also a trampoline to tire them out completely.

Mini Golf

Mini golf is a 9-hole obstacle course . The clubs and balls are kept in an outdoor cabinet beside the course so be sure to return them when your game is finished.

Table Tennis

Table tennis is housed in the games room behind reception on the lower level, and a 1/2 Tennis court located next to the herb garden and the stream.

Sauna and Spa

Sauna & spas are set in their own indoor spaces for insulation and privacy. They are accessed with your unit key and open from 7 AM to 10 PM each day during your stay.
